Last week, David Lozzi of Slalom Consulting and I presented “Powershell and Office 365: ITPro #Awesomesauce” to the members of the Boston Office 365 User Group at Microsoft in Burlington, MA. #Awesomesauce describes the presentation perfectly. The group was wonderful. David and I had a productive exchange with the crowd who asked some great questions. A lot of the questions related to connecting to Office 365, choosing what modules to use and when to use them, and even dealing with security and licensing implications.
For the second half of the presentation, David Lozzi taught us all about the advantages of the new Patterns and Practices initiative and how much easier it makes SharePoint deployment and automation. These modules are intuitive and reduce what used to take 20 lines of code down to just 1.
It’s always great to speak to a receptive audience and find out what they’re looking for. I look forward to returning to the user group as both a presenter and an audience member!
Here’s a list of modules and management apps we discussed in the session.
