Why you need Office 365 on a snowy day

The blizzards of 2015 haven’t kept us from being productive!

Snow has been on our minds lately — too much snow, that is, as we endure our second blizzard in as many weeks.

And yet, with Office 365 at our fingertips, the work has continued. I can see what my colleagues have done (Delve), share comments, make changes in real-time (co-authoring). All the applications we typically use (custom SharePoint apps) are accessible from our home computers and a myriad of mobile devices. And all our documents and files are accessible in SharePoint.

We’ve continued work for our clients right here at home … Read more and we’re even more productive than usual because there are fewer interruptions here.

Meetings? No problem, we just moved them over to Lync, where we can do voice conferencing, video conferencing, screen sharing (one of our favorite tools) and even share our online whiteboards.

I’m settling back with a cup of hot cocoa, organizing and promoting a group presentation with colleagues on Yammer and co-authoring a proposal. It’s almost another day at the office, without the nasty bumper-to-bumper commute.

So it’s been a fairly normal day, but soon I’m going to have to go shovel all that snow!
